A Whirlwind 72 Hours in Paris: A Free Adventure of a Lifetime

Updated: May 13

Hey there, fellow adventurers! Today, I'm thrilled to take you on an unforgettable journey to the City of Love, Paris, where I have my one of the most incredible 72-hour adventure, and the best part? It was all free! Let me share with you how this extraordinary experience unfolded.

It all began with a spontaneous decision to take a mini trip from Freiburg, Germany, to Basel, Switzerland. Little did I know, this impromptu excursion would lead to an unexpected adventure of a lifetime.

In Basel, I had the pleasure of meeting a delightful Filipino family who graciously invited me for a barbecue and a refreshing swim in the Rhine River. As a token of appreciation, I sketched a cute caricature for them, which unexpectedly led to a surprising offer. (For more artwork check @caitrionarts)

They generously extended an invitation for a free ride to Paris! Can you believe it? Without a second thought, I seized the opportunity.

The journey took us approximately 6 hours, but every moment was filled with laughter, stories, and anticipation for the adventures that awaited us.

Upon our arrival in the City of Lights, I was immediately captivated by its grandeur and beauty. Welcomed warmly by Grandma, who graciously offered me a place to stay, I found myself borrowing clothes from her wardrobe and indulging in her homemade meals, adding an endearing touch to my Parisian escapade.

With Grandma's hospitality and a complimentary place to stay, I was ready to immerse myself in all that Paris had to offer. From iconic landmarks to charming neighborhoods, here are some of the incredible places I explored during my 72-hour adventure:

1. Eiffel Tower - A must-see iconic landmark offering breathtaking views of the city.
